I have a BSc in International Business (with German) and an MSc in Conservation Science at Imperial College London. I am interested in applied conservation research in systems where the social and natural sciences meet, such as secondary exposure of wildlife to contaminants, integrated conservation and development initiatives, conservation evaluation and human-wildlife conflict.

My PhD (completed 2019) researched risks to the recovery of the polecat (Mustela putorius) in Great Britain. My PhD was funded and supported by the Vincent Wildlife Trust, the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology and the People’s Trust for Endangered Species. I used a range of approaches including chemical analyses for residues of rodenticides, stable isotope analysis, mammal trapping and monitoring, as well as social scientific methodologies to explore gamekeepers’ perspectives.

I am now based at the University of Cambridge, where I am working on a synopsis of global evidence for effective actions in reptile conservation.
